The information on this page is from my own personal experience and has worked for me every time I have been drug screened.   I see a probation officer monthly, and was recently tested positive for marijuana.  Now I have to attend substance abuse classes three times per week and have to submit to drug screens one, two and sometimes all three days.



The drug screens are done by testing my urine and they are ALWAYS monitered by a police officer.  The little plastic cup I pee in has a built in thermometer to test the temperature of the urine.  Once I've submitted my sample, the officer then uses a single panal, double panal or triple panal testing kit which is placed into my urine and renders the results in less than five minutes.

How I Pass My Drug Test

As soon as I know that I am going to be drug screened, I start drinking water.  LOTS and LOTS of WATER!  I always pee into a clear container as soon as I have to go after starting on the water to visually inspect the color of  my urine, which is usually a very dark yellow.  I visually test the color of my urine periodically throughout the water consumption to make sure that it's color lightens from dark yellow to a very pale yellow to almost clear.  This ensures that my kidneys have been thoroughly flushed and my urine sufficently diluted by the steady water consumption.  Once you are relieving your bladder about once every twenty minutes or so, then you should be safe and pass your urine screen.

Important Precautions

Keep in mind also that if you smoke more than once per day, or more often than three to four times per week, then your body will have a higher level of toxins and may require more than one to two gallons of water prior to your drug screen.

Body weight is also important to factor into the amount of water you consume.  I weigh about 200 lbs. and am moderately active.  The heavier you are, the more water you will have to consume.

I would strongly suggest you purchase two or three home testing kits before your drug screen.  That way you can be sure of the amount of water you need to drink to render a negative drug screen!
